Guided ski Outing On January 31st

Hello fellow skiers!

I would like to thank all the participants from the last moon light ski, it was super fun! We skied onto the Tak.Falls road and had a few peak at the moon, some great fresh snow and got to see a train going through the Upper Spiral Tunnel! Special thank you to Baptiste and Thomas for breaking trail…

Our next event is scheduled to be this coming Sunday. We will meet at the community center for 10:00am and ski until 12:00pm. Everyone is welcome, I hope to see you there.

Have a great day, Jessica :)

PS. If anyone is looking for a unique ski, there is a beautiful track set from lake Louise all the way to Banff… :-)

Monarch Trail

Joe got a track set on the Monarch yesterday, after the track setter broke down and he hauled the other one from Emerald with Bruce.
So it’s ready to use as a DOG FRIENDLY TRAIL with skis and snowshoes and a leash!
I believe he is waiting for the snow to stop before finishing the Tally-Ho, Kicking Horse Road and Connector for the weekend.
Tonite is the MOON LIGHT SKI at 8 pm at the Tak. Falls Road. See you there.

Stay tuned for…

A DOG FRIENDLY TRAIL in Yoho!
Start at Yoho Trading Post(boarded up garage)—across from the Information Centre in Field–where you can park and use the luxurious loo–then follow the machine packed trail going EAST. DROP DOWN !!! the east corner of their parking lot to the Kicking Horse River bed and follow the “Monarch Trail” which is sled packed(very soon– to be groomed for X-C). You can then cross the Highway(carefully!) and follow along on the North side old road in behind trees & along the flats to get to the Takkakkaw Falls Road—about 3 kms. The road is groomed for x-c for 7 km. more and is ALSO DOG FRIENDLY. Enjoy your walk/snowshoe/ski/and dog!!! Keep it on a leash though!
