Merry Christmas everyone–the bridge got repaired by Santa and the elf! Enjoy your day skiing!
Alluvial Fan Bridge if FLOODING – do not cross!
With ever changing weather conditions–the bridge at the top of the Alluvial Fan(skiing clockwise) has flooded over! Do not cross it! We suggest going counter clockwise to the back of the fan and returning the same way.
Trails were refreshed 2 days ago at Emerald–including the TREE HUGGER trail near shore. Tally-Ho and Kicking Horse trail refreshed yesterday. Were in good shape except for that IMPASSIBLE BRIDGE!
Merry Christmas everyone!

Pre Christmas weekend update
We’re good for snow and clear skies on our trails and the track setter guy has been keeping up with it really well. Except for one complaint today about the back end of the lake–mixed tracks! Can’t do much for those trails that are for EVERYONE to use–like across the lake to the shore from Emerald Sports.
We discovered today that the Connector trail from the top end at Emerald Lake–is as bad for fallen trees as the lower end–down by the Natural Bridge–TONS of fallen bettle-kill trees!!! We are looking at 30 some trees at the lower end and maybe just as many near the top end???(in between ???? ) Joe could only get past the Hamilton Lake Creek today-which is not far at all ! We’ll see what the next few days brings…..possibly we will not even attempt the Connector Trail this winter! Just a heads up to all????
On the heals of our best snowfall in weeks, Joe had made tracks on the Tally-Ho, Kicking Horse Fire Road, Yoho Valley Road and all of Emerald Lake –except for the Tree Hugger(shore) Trail which is just skidoo packed.
We have lot’s to ski over the next while and lot’s to be THANKFUL for. Happy Christmas skiers and snowshoers!!
Beautiful track from Field
Joe the track setter just got home–called to tell us how beautiful the track is from the Info down to the Kicking Horse fire road. It will be heaven tomorrow! And he will hopefully do Emerald then also.
5 cms. to wake up to!!
Finally–a break in the high pressure!! Joe is setting a track at Emerald Lake as I write. Then he’s moving the equipment to TAK. Falls to work on that one. Should be a good weekend!!! Enjoy !
