This one is SOLD as of March 26/2023
Parks Canada has been doing a great job track setting in Yoho. Lot’s of new professional signs at all junctions. So,,,,,,
The Club is selling our oldest TRACK SETTER –if you know of anybody needing one. It was built in Edmonton through “Advance Track Setting” (which no longer is) and we purchased it new in 2013 for $4000.00 It was used and kept at the Tak. Falls Road all those last years– the lift is not working–but it did a fine job on that 7 kms. of road–making it super wide for skating & double tracked. It would be a great starter for a small Club or someone with a big acreage for personal tracks. NOW Asking for $500.00 and it is located in Yoho to view. Please reply via www.khsc.ca or my personal email toulouse@uniserve.com Please pass this info around to other Clubs or friends. Thank you and …..Skee ya later eh? Marilyn & Bruce
Great way to finish the year off–with TRACKS AT EMERALD LAKE !!! Just today–3 sleds did the job after we finally got enough snow. Caution of a slush puddle right in the middle of the ice track–everything else is absolutely beautiful. You can travel on the walking trail to access the ski trail….it is nice and wide now. Thank you Shannon, Mark and Andrew–from Parks Canada. The Store is open for rentals, gifts, cider. Come on out!

Dear KHSC,
As most of you know me, my name is Jessica. I have learned how to ski in and resided in Field BC for over 20 years.
I am a CANSI (Canadian Association of Nordic Ski Instructor) Level 4 instructor. And as of last spring, I am the only female Level 4 course conductor in the country.
I instruct and coach Nordic skiing from Field to Lake Louise, Canmore, Silverstar, Kimberley, Golden, Cypress/Vancouver and Quebec. I teach skiers of all skill levels, from never ever to advanced skiers preparing for races.
I have my own company here in the National Parks in Lake Louise and Yoho, and it is XC ski the Parks. I offer private and group lessons and guided tours. I also teach private lessons and school groups lessons in Canmore at Trail Sports ski school and host their staff training session. I coach for an adult program called Supercamps in Silverstar. I offer outings and organize our annual fundraiser for the Kicking Horse Ski Club and use to teach our Field elementary students. I travel all over the country to certify ski instructors.
I have a long-time affiliation with the Field Nordic community. I have offered lessons and moonlight ski outings to your club members. I also have hosted some very successful KHSC fundraisers here in Yoho and help showcase what our trails have to offer.
I am writing this letter because I recently qualified to represent Canada at Interski. Interski is a world ski seminar hosted every 4 years, including Nordic, Downhill, Telemark and snowboard. This seminar will be held in Finland in March 2023. There are demonstrations, indoor sessions, lectures by representative Nations and briefings. As part of the Canadian delegation, I will deliver lectures about Nordic skiing in Canada and perform in the demonstrations.
During Interski, I plan to attend as many presentations as possible related to ski instruction and other ski industry subjects. I can bring my knowledge back to Canada and share it in multiple ways, through instruction, workshops and certification of instructors.
The cost for Interski is approximately $7500.00 CAN and I am asking local businesses and organisations to help me fund this educational journey. I consider myself a true ambassador for the sport. I am excited to share my knowledge and love of the sport with skiers and instructors of all levels.
Upon my return, I would be happy to host an on snow session or indoor presentation with the community of Field, to share everything I learned during this ski seminar in Finland and Norway adventure.

I hope you consider this inquiry and I thank you for your time. Let me know if you would like to meet or chat in person.
Regards, Jessica.
