Feb. 15–of the Yoho Challenge

Just to clarify–“The Re-Connector” is the super steep section of “The Connector Trail”–and it’s just before you arrive down on the Tally – Ho and ski to the Natural Bridge Parking lot !!! Do NOT ski down the steep section—WALK IT down !! The remainder of the Connector Trail also has steep hills and could very likely be ICY also. Be safe !!

Monday Feb. ❣️❣️ 14

OK–The Re- Connector is SUPER ADVANCED right now !!! You can herringbone UP IT– but DO NO SKI DOWN!!!! WALK IT PLEASE!!!! Some icy sections–very hard, uneven, twigs frozen in, dips and bumps, postholes !!!! Sound good eh? NOT !!! Please ski Emerald trails, Kicking Horse Fire Road and the Tally Ho. Avoid it unless we get a foot of snow! Thanks.

Our trails are READY now!!

Our sled is repaired and Joe just track set ALL the trails at Emerald Lake and the Connector!! He did not refresh the Kicking Horse Fire Road as it is in good shape. Debris did come down with this wind we just got–but mostly pine needles. We are ready for the Yoho Challenge ! Only Takkakaw Falls road in NOT done yet. Enjoy the skiing.

Tuesday Feb. 8

Things are coming along–Joe and Pierre made it through on the Connector today, cutting and packing with the sled. Now we only need our sled back from Golden so we can hook up the groomer. Looking pretty hopeful to have our Yoho Challenge on the 13 to the 19th Feb……

Feb. 7th–Monday

Pulled/towed our sled out from the back of the Emerald Lake (on shore)—THANKS to Joe & Loyd and the loaner sled from Parks Canada Trail Crew.  We also need to THANK Emerald Lake Lodge rescue with their forklift to load it onto our trailer.  She should be back to work the trails asap. Joe was able to pack Emerald trails again—they got a ton of snow out there!
