Just what the skiers ordered! Now we can start fresh again–on smooth soft tracks. We got about 6″ at Emerald Lake. Waiting to hear from the grooming guys.

Whoa—long time since the last blog!
The skiing has been so good and consistent until just now—March came in like a lion—with RAIN and above freezing temps. Today –it is snowing lightly and we have skier set tracks in Yoho. Too warm to set new ones yet but no one complained yesterday about skiing in the wet mild conditions. And it was still good skiing. Louise got heaps of snow for the Loppet so they are grooming as I write. Have a fun weekend all the same.

David did new tracks on the lake leading to the Horse trail and on the Alluvial Fan. The wind was playing around near the back of the lake so expect trails to be filled in a bit until the next grooming cession–before the BIG weekend. The Connector was also tracked to the 6 km. point. Beautiful weather.

Just finished putting new tracks on the following trails:

6 km section of the Connector upto the turn around point( watch out for tree bombs, expect some debris in tracks.
Horse trail
Aluvian Fan
East shore trail(watch out for tree bombs)
Lake trail…Caution! The Lake is very slushy, so probably best to use the Horse trail or Eastshore trail to accesss the Aluvian Fan.
