Was lovely to see the blue ski–but enough already. Woke up to white! Got maybe 5 cms. for now–which will help a lot on the existing trails. Off trails is still bombproof for travelling. The Snowshoers are sure loving it! The lake you can travel anywhere. Very icy in font of our dock and the trail leading away from the avalanche path to the shore. Still be careful of steep pitches. But get out there. NEVER MIND—Get out here!!! It’s our annual dinner tonite 6 pm in Field! Hope to see you there! Marilyn

More new snow–more tracks
Got another 10 cms–and all tracks refreshed this afternoon. Thanks Joe!!!!
New snow–new tracks!!
Got 6 cms. of fresh beautiful powder to cover up our icy trails!! And Joe track set everything yesterday(Sat). Perfect for the weekend and for the MOON LIGHT SKI tonite, starting at 8 pm at the Natural Bridge Parking lot. Come on out!
The Norseman Ski Club is in town this weekend and we decided to make Sally Luttmer an HONORARY MEMBER OF OUR CLUB–for her relentless efforts in making sure the members of her Club give a donation to OUR Club for the track setting! We love you Sally!
So–avoid these trails!!!
We tried to work some of the trails but it backfired! Avoid the CONNECTOR all the way from Field & the HORSE TRAIL at Emerald Lake. We also tried to do another track on the lake–ran into slush but at least it will be frozen(hopefully hard) after tonight. STILL PRETTY GOOD—the Kicking Horse Fire Road, the Tree Hugger Trail (very close to the trees below the walking trail and the Horse trail, and the FAN. All good skiing — especially in that sunshine we had today!!!! Ski safe…MT
I’m WRONG–sorry
Got to work and all the skiers say–they had a GOOD TIME !! I expected much worse–the trails on shore are just fine–excellent for waxless skis. The lake is icy and slushy but passable. Joe brought the sled back up and wiped out the trail from Field but plans to put a trail in tomorrow. SO–enjoy the spring skiing!
Warning!!
Hate to say this but…Conditions are horrible right now–until we get new snow! Too warm, too wet, too soft and we can’t do a thing about it!! Gal darn Pineapple Express.!!! The best thing is–we had GREAT conditions on the past weekend for Rick Mercer to be in Field for our Yoho Blow Days–so keep an eye out for Tuesday evenings CBC program in the next few weeks. And THINK SNOW!!!
